Big Bang kicks off official promotions through “Big Bang Big Show 3D” premiere

Big Bang is back, and better yet- in 3D!
On January 28th, the boys stayed true to their eclectic style by donning paper masks of their own faces while welcoming fans and reporters to the film premiere of their “Big Bang Big Show 3D”  at the CGV Center in Seoul.
The boys joked around with the crowd by asserting, “We’re not wearing masks!”, and were met with a great roar when they asked, “Were you waiting for our 3D concert?”
The “Big Bang Big Show 3D” film is a digitally re-mastered presentation of their “2010 Big Bang Live Concert Big Show” from January 2010. Today’s launch is considered as the official start of their promotional activities for the group’s February 25th comeback. Using footage not included in their DVD chronicles of their 3-day concert (in addition to the regular concert clips), the movie was shot and compiled from multiple angles, and utilizes state-of-the-art visual and sound 3D technology.
The movie will play in theatres on February 2nd, and the boys promised their fans that they “will meet and see a side of Big Bang that they have never seen through TV or their albums”.
By taking fans back and reliving every detail of last year’s concert, the boys hope to achieve two goals with this film: build up their fans’ anticipation for the upcoming album release, and hype the kick-off of their “2011 Big Bang Concert (Big Show)” for February 25th.
As expected, Big Bang was ‘all work and no play’ at their premiere, from T.O.P showing the audience how to really “put your hands in the air” to Tae Yang revealing that “My sunglasses are my secret weapon”, the boys conducted themselves with ease, fun, and an undeniable flair.
Though the official release date is still a month away, today’s events could be taken as a great indicator of their comeback’s size and quality. Rest assured Big Bang fans- the boys are going to take you on one “big” ride.
