Big Bang’s Seungri wants to appear on more variety shows
Meeting with reporters after the concert, Seungri was asked whether he felt pressure in having to show not-so-pleasant sides to himself, to which he answered, “Not at all.”
Seungri previously amused viewers through SBS’s “Family Outing” and “Strong Heart” with his candid confessions, even earning the nickname ‘variety idol.’
He continued, “I don’t think that idols have a separate image they need to maintain. If it’s for my fans to see, I have confidence in showing them a variety of different sides to me, not only as a singer on stage.”
Regarding his leave from MBC’s “Enjoy Today” due to his comeback album preparations, Seungri continued, “I’m busy right now for my solo album, but I want to return to my fans through variety programs soon. I’ll be honing my variety skills until then.”

These awards will give voice to all the netizens that are into Kpop and want their favorite celebrities to win these online awards!
The first stage of this project will consist on the nominations that will run from Friday 10th December 2010 until Sunday 2nd January 2011.
People will be able to pick from a pretty complete list who they want to be the official nominees on this awards.
On our second stage, the nominations made by the netizens will be counted and we will proceed to the final votings which will run until Sunday 16th January 2011.
The awards are fully integrated with facebook and twitter and participation only requires a twitter or facebook account. Once the vote has been processed, the event will be shared on the users’ wall or be tweeted in into the twitter network.
This is a great and unique opportunity because users will be able to nominate and vote for their favorite celebrity.
Our goal is to make netizens pick who they want to be their number one star and have a voice on the complete process and decisions.
The only thing you need to do is pick your favorite celebrities and help them be the number one.

Pinoy K-pop fans! Are you going to the ‘Philippine KPOP Convention’?
We know that some of our readers hail from the Philippines, so here’s an awesome announcement for the Pinoy K-pop fans!
The Phillipine KPOP Community Inc. has organized the second “Phillipine KPOP Convention” for December 11th at the PICC Forum. Local fan clubs of over 40 KPOP groups and artists have been invited to celebrate their love of K-pop music for one spectacular day only! Thousands of screaming fans attended the first event last year, so we’re sure that this year will draw in many more.
Enthusiasts can look forward to purchasing fan goods from the fan clubs of their favorite artists, view the K-street fashion show (courtesy of YesStyle.com), and participate in the many contests held over the course of the day (such as the ‘2nd Philippine KPOP Dance Battle’, ‘KPOP Kosplay Year II’, and the ‘KPOP Idol Look-a-like’ contests). There will also be exclusive album launches from SNSD and JYJ, so be sure not to miss out!
While there are no actual tickets being sold for the event, the organizers have established an entry fee of PHP150, as all proceeds from the event will go towards GAWAD KALINGA, a charitable organization that seeks to end poverty by building homes and communities for the less-fortunate. PHP150 is the minimum fee, so attendants are encouraged to donate more if they should so choose.

Big Bang Certified Gold
The boys of Big Bang recently achieved their first Gold status in Japan. Big Bang released their second studio Japanese album, “Big Bang” back on August 19, 2009 and over a year later the RIAJ (Recording Industry Association Of Japan) has certified this album to be “Gold” for shipping over 100,000 units.
Congratulations to the boys ^^.
