Daesung gets a touching letter from Eun Jung’s Father

Previously, a heartbreaking story about a father’s plea for his sick daughter to Big Bang’s Daesung was reported. As it turned out, in a touching act of charity, both Jinusean’s Sean and Big Bang’s Daesung rushed over to the hospital where the sick girl was staying and visited her to lift her spirits.
As a result of their kindness, the father posted a thank you letter to all those involved, including an update on his daughter’s status.

It’s a late night.
This afternoon was an extremely touching day.
Big Bang’s Daesung and Jinusean’s Sean visited my daughter’s hospital room.
When I first wrote this post the moderators of this site sent me a text that gave me hope on that night.
It said ‘I will try my hardest to make sure that Jung Eun’s wish is granted’.
A lot of netizens sent supporting words to my email.
I sincerely thank every single netizen for doing so much to help someone whose face you don’t know.
In the morning the doctor in charge of Jung Eun made his round of visits and my wife asked about her being discharged from hospital.
The doctor said ‘It’s not possible’, ‘Jung Eun’s white blood cell count is 90,000′, ‘If it goes over 100,000 it will spread to her brain and she’ll struggle through pain’.
My wife told the doctor that Jung Eun wanted to see her family and asked if she could at least have a family meeting, and the doctor said he’d leave it up to the nurse.
This happened today in the morning.
It was a really pitiful situation where all I could do was watch my young daughter who had no hope suffer through pain.
When I first left a post on this site it was because all I could do was let her go.
However at around lunch time my wife received a call giving notice of Daesung’s visit and we decided to keep it a secret from Jung Eun.
But we thought Jung Eun might be embarrassed with having no hair in front of Daesung who she likes so much so we just told her to wear a wig.
I didn’t get to see Jinusean’s Sean, Daesung and his manager visit her hospital room.
However Jung Eun said she was so happy that she was shaking and couldn’t ask Daesung any questions.
She talked about the time she went with her mother to his concert that opened at the Olympic Park, and when she said that she was so far away that she couldn’t see well, Daesung promised that he’d make sure that she’d be able to watch from VIP seats at Big Bang’s concert on next year February.
When I was on the bus leaving for Seoul I received a call from Jung Eun.
Daughter: ‘Dad~~ It’s me~’
Me: ‘Ah my daughter’
Daughter: ‘Are you on your way here?~’
Me: ‘Yep’
Daughter: ‘Come quickly I love you Dad~’
Me: ‘Daddy loves you too Jung Eun’
It’s been so long since I’ve heard such a bright voice from her and I can’t remember how long it’s been since I’ve heard her say ‘I love you dad~’.
When I arrived at her hospital room Jung Eun was smiling.
As she watched me eating dinner next to her bed she said ‘Dad~ Eat lots~’ and gave me a bright smile.
Apart from when she was struggling with a fever between 7 and 8 in the night, she kept chattering into the night until 11pm.
She said that she was so excited that she doesn’t think she could sleep tonight and that she wanted to kiss me but since she can’t she just mimicked a kissing motion instead.
But I still saw water in my child’s eyes.
I told my daughter: ‘Your white blood cell count will probably plummet tomorrow’
My daughter replied ‘Yeah~’.
‘Your immune system will probably get better as well’.
She replied ‘Of course’ and smiled brightly.
I’m planning on seeing a cancer specialist early tomorrow to discuss more treatment for Jung Eun.
No matter how much I decide to let her go, in one corner of my heart I can’t let Jung Eun go.
I keep crying.
Apart from the first time my daughter received chemotherapy, she hasn’t shown a single tear to this day.

And to Jinusean’s Sean I want to say that you were December’s Santa.
And to Daesung, Jung Eun was so thankful that she told her mother that ‘I can get better’ and strongly disagreed with the words that I wrote about it being her ‘final wish’ and I want to thank him for giving her a renewed hope.
I gather up all my courage to say this.

GD&TOP's 'High High' and 'Oh Yeah' tops online music rankings

Only a few hours after the digital release of G-Dragon and TOP's "High High" and "Oh Yeah", the two songs has already topped real-time digital charts. "High High" is currently #1 on monkey3  real-time charts with "Oh Yeah" taking #3. On the other hand, "Oh Yeah" is in first place and "High High" is fourth place for Soribada's real-time charts.

IU's "Good Day" is in second place with Taeyeon's "I Love You" following third. On the melon real-time charts, "High High" is currently taking second place, behind IU's "Good Day".

A monkey3 representative said that "Big Bang's G-Dragon and TOP's musical style change is getting a lot of response. Their 1st place standing is making the expectations on the full album release on the 24th even higher."

GD&TOP introduce their debut album at Youtube “World Premiere”

Big Bang’s G-Dragon and T.O.P revealed their feelings on debuting as a unit group during the “World Premier” of their first album, held at M-PUB on December 14th.  The premiere was broadcasted live through YouTube, allowing fans all over the world to get a first look at their debut work.
The duo personally introduced the tracks for their album, some including “Baby Good Night,” “Oh Mom,” “Nightmare,” “Today,” and “What Do You Want Me to Do?”, along with a digital preview of their triple title tracks, “Oh Yeah,” “Bbeokigayo,” and “High High.”
Much attention was put on the release of their music video for “High High,” as it was revealed to be filmed at a club in Itaewon. It was also produced by Big Bang’s Taeyang and Teddy, and features surprise appearances by other YG Entertainment artists.
Unfortunately, the video skipped a bit during its play, causing G-Dragon to ask for the viewers’ understanding by commenting in jest, “Whenever (errors) like this happen, they say that your album will go jackpot. Maybe it really will.”

Regarding the background of the album’s production, T.O.P revealed, “We decided to release this album as a special present for the fans that have waited for us. I had a lot of time on my hands after I finished my movie and did a lot of producing with G-Dragon.”
G-Dragon continued, “Whenever I’m preparing a new album for Big Bang, I always make sure to try a variety of member combinations. Out of everything, T.O.P and I had the most productions, which is what led to this album. Now that it’s about to be released, the remaining trio gave us a lot of pressure by saying, ‘Hyungs, you guys have to go out and do your best before Big Bang goes out as whole.’”
T.O.P added to G-Dragon’s comments, “They did give us a lot of pressure by asking us to do well, but they also gave us a lot of support as well.”

Regarding their decision on a triple track promotion, G-Dragon expressed, “We just wanted to let everyone hear as many songs of ours as possible in a short amount of time. With Big Bang’s comeback album, we’ll show everyone all five us promoting together.”
MC Kim Sung Joo continued by bringing up a question related to their song ‘Bbeokigayo,’ asking, “Comparing yourself to others, what do you think is your charm?”
G-Dragon answered, “I’m not as handsome as T.O.P hyung, but I think I have a good personality.” T.O.P answered with a smile, “I think my ear is more handsome than G-Dragon’s ears,” and went on to give reporters a peek of his ear.

The duo will be releasing a digital single including “High High” and “Oh Yeah” on December 15th followed by their full album on the 24th. They will also be debuting through SBS’s “Inkigayo” on the 19th.
Representatives of YG Entertainment stated, “G-Dragon and T.O.P are rappers that grew up together dreaming of rap music even before the creation of Big Bang. Their unit album will feature music that is closer to hip hop and rap, than previous songs with Big Bang.”

GDTOP to broadcast their “World Premiere” performances live on YouTube!

There’s a lot of anticipation in the music scene about Big Bang’s powerhouse duo, G-Dragon and T.O.P’s (aka ‘GDTOP‘) first single, scheduled for release December 15th. But when and where will their first performance be? YG Entertainment has recently announced that the boys will be performing their “World Premiere” on the 14th at 5PM (KST) through Big Bang’s official YouTube channel!

An official statement from YG Entertainment revealed, “This world premiere will be broadcasted live through Big Bang’s official YouTube channel. Fans from Asia, Europe, North America, and other locations will be able to view it live. They will be performing music from their official album – set for release on the 24th – for the first time ever, along with a personal introduction on the behind-the-scenes stories of how each song was produced.”

The representative continued, “The music video for ‘High High‘ will also be revealed for the first time. Fans will be able to see the transformation the duo has gone through with the music video’s release. The ‘World Premier’ was opened in order to promote and satisfy the hot interest of everyone in and outside of Korea. As it is our first time attempting this, we will be making sure that it will be a special and worthwhile time, so please anticipate it.”

Considering how there’s a lot of controversy swirling around the duo’s ability to deliver a comeback performance on SBS’s ”Inkigayo“, it looks as if YG Entertainment has taken the initiative here.
