SBS Inkigayo “Artists who attended MAMA should be suspended”, will G-TOP’s comeback be affected?

In fact, the majority of the companies understood SBS’s intention and didn’t attend the ceremony. However YG artists went ahead and participated which from SBS’s Inkigayo perspective who had given YG the most loyalty and affection, was a blow right to their head.

YG’s Yang Hyun Suk announced that the unit of TOP and G-Dragon would also go with the three-title-songs strategy like 2NE1 did. Only this time it’s still being contemplated whether SBS Ingikayo will support their appearances. Whether they will give them exceptional treatment like in 2NE1′s case has gained much attention.

SBS’s executive expressed their anger after they stated, “In my opinion, singers who attended Mnet’s ceremony should be unconditionally suspended [from appearing/performing]“. The decision SBS Inkigayo will take regarding G-Dragon and TOP’s unit has drawn much attention.

Big Bang to hold “Big Show Concert 2011″ in February

Big Bang’s February 1st comeback has the music industry crackling with anticipation, and it’s about to go ablaze with YG Entertainment’s newest announcement that the group will host a concert as well.

Big Bang will be holding their “2011 Big Show” concert from February 25th to the 27th. The “Big Show” began back in 2008, and has developed into an annual brand concert filled with impressive performances. This concert has since earned much attention from not only celebrities, but industry representatives as well.

The G-Dragon and T.O.P unit, the first act to officially kick off Big Bang’s return, will be releasing two songs off their single on December 15th, which will be followed by the duo’s official release on the 24th.

Seungri’s solo activities, self-composed songs

Big Bang’s Seungri will begin his solo activities with his own songs.

An official from YG Entertainment revealed. “Seungri will return as solo artist in January next year. This time though, with songs he composed and wrote on his own.”

According to officials, Seungri along with TOP have been steadily studying writing and composing [music]. Seungri’s last solo activities were with his song “Strong Baby”, off of Big Bang’s second album from November 2008. This time with self-written songs his solo activities are much more meaningful. As for the undefined title, member G-Dragon was said to have provided some help with the arrangement.

It was announced that after a long time Seungri will release a digital single on January 3rd next year and begin his solo activities. Because of this his activities in MBC variety show “Enjoy Today” were put off.

Meanwhile, Big Bang’s G-Dragon and TOP will begin to work as a unit in December for their solo careers and in February Big Bang’s vigorous activities are expected to begin.

Yang Hyun Suk, "Big Bang's new album will not include a solo or a duet"

On the 3rd (of Dec), YG Entertainment President, Yang Hyun Suk said, "To prepare for this new album, Big Bang spent a lot of effort and time on it. Through this, it will allow everyone to see a higher and better level of Big Bang's music."

Following that, he said, "Big Bang's new album will not include any member's solo or duet song. Only songs that include all the 5 members will be in the album. This is not only because of their long period of absence but also as a gift to those fans who have waited so long for Big Bang."

He also said, "Big Bang will return in February and will do promotions in Korea for the entire year. Although they will also be doing promotion in Japan, they will be putting their main focus in Korea."

YG revealed the 3 reasons for the BIGBANG unit group’s comeback!

All the fans’ attentions are directed to BIGBANG‘s unit group that will be releasing their new album after a long time.

The 5-member idol group BIGBANG under the label YG Entertainment has released an announcement in YG Blog on last 29th November regarding their new album that is gonna be released on February 1st 2011. It has been 2 years and three months after BIGBANG released their 2nd album with the title song ‘Sunset Gow’ on last November 2008.

This news is enough to draw BIGBANG’s fans attention. And now YG giving out the news that BIGBANG’s Leader G-Dragon and the big hyung TOP will be releasing their album on December 24th as a duet. And they even revealed that maknae Seungri will be releasing a digital single on January 3rd 2011.

Then, right after all of the members’ unit activities finished BIGBANG will take place for their comeback.

On 30th November, YG’s CEO, Yang Hyun Suk, explained about the three reasons of the boys’ comeback through an exclusive via-phone interview with Starnews.

The first is, they have decided to put all of the members’ musics into BIGBANG’s new album.

Yang Hyun Suk said, “as much as Bigbang haven’t released a domestic album in a long time, in this new album they will include a solo song for each member–no duet song–and it will contain all five members’ music colors” and then he emphasized, “this is a present for all of Bigbang’s fans that have been waiting for them until now.” Then he said, “Bigbang hasn’t comeback in such a long time and now they have put their best efforts to make this album and ready to come back” and said, “it will be great to anticipate them,” with confidence.

The second reason is, after they decided to put all bigbang member’s colors into the album, the songs to start the album with are beyond expectation; there were a lot of songs that too good to put away. And so those songs were made into G-Dragon and TOP’s album, and Seungri’s solo single.

Yang Hyun Suk said, “Of course GD and TOP’s album and Seungri’s solo single was originally made with the thoughts of Bigbang’s album” and then he revealed, “It has been decided that in Bigbang’s album there are only Bigbang’s songs, and it’s such a pity to let the other songs gone wasted when it can be a good gift for the fans. And so we decided to released G-Dragon and TOP’s album on December and Seungri’s solo song on January.” In addition, “In GD and TOP’s case, because they have composed a lot of songs, they only have to add in several songs and release the album.“

The last reason is to make Bigbang’s national activities longer.

He also said that, “Because GD and TOP’s duet songs are originally songs for Bigbang, so their album release can be considered as Bigbang’s national activity’s practical opening.” and, “with this, Bigbang’s national activities can last longer, and of course this is for the fans that have been showing their interest towards Bigbang although they’re having such a long vacuum time,” and he emphasized, “Bigbang will give you a great time and will be active for the next one year.“

G-Dragon and TOP are going for the “Triple-Title Song” strategy for their comeback?

Popular male group Big Bang members, G-dragon and Top, will be starting on their promotional activities next month as a duo unit of the group. Officials from the music industry will be keeping a close  eye on the duo consisting of Top and Gdragon (who had debuted his solo album before).

On 29th November, YG Entertainment staff updated their YG daily blog with several breaking news, Big Bang will make their comeback on 1st February, Gdragon and Top’s duo unit album which will be released during this coming December.

It was not as surprising when YG stated the comeback date of Big Bang as Top was seen with a anime-like hairstyle during the recent ’31st Blue Dragon Film Awards’.

However, many fans were exceptionally surprised at the fact that Gdragon and Top will be releasing an album together as a duo. Since their first single album in 2006, the two of them has never been seen performing together as a duo, instead, Gdragon was seen working on Taeyang’s album while supporting the other members.

The news was also grabbing the attention because of the upcoming album. Different units have been formed under popular groups like Super Junior, Girl’s Generation and many more, but it was not common of them to be releasing a full studio album.

Following the duo album, the youngest member, Seungri, will also be releasing his digital single in January before starting the official comeback activities of Big Bang. Just like 2NE1 who had been given a triple-title song strategy, YG will be using the ‘Separated but together’ strategy for Big Bang which will be expected to last for 4 months.

It is surprising that the duo unit will be part of the whole plan. “The duo will be following the triple-title song just like 2NE1″ and “Fans will anticipate and pay even more attention when theres only two person singing in their world.” a YG representative said.

The duo had actually performed one of the track ‘Bbeokigayo’ in their upcoming album during ’2010 MAMA’ on 28th November. Gdragon and Top showed their stage charisma by wearing black suits rapping to their new song, causing an instant rise in atmosphere. The album will include a total of 11 new songs.

Meanwhile, Big Bang along with other YG artists will be holding their ’2010 YG Family Concert’ in Seoul Olypmic Gymnastics Stadium on 4th December.
